They then offered Folsom her original role with a $50,000 pay cut, according to SFGate.

Folsom was shocked at these offers and refused to accept, instead choosing to let her contract run out and take severance, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

"I kind of felt like it was a way to stick me in a closet or something," Folsom told Daily Mail, adding that it felt like the news outlet was trying to get rid of anyone they deemed old or expensive. "I was like, wait a minute, what?"

Folsom now plans to sue the company for severance she believes is owed from her years at the station, according to SFGate.
