SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The holidays have come and gone, but there are still plenty of activities to take part in across San Francisco these next few months.
From family outings to seasonal events and easy day trips, there’s plenty around town to keep your calendar full. Just remember to double-check hours, weather updates and ticket details before heading out.

Ice Skating at Union Square
Where: San Francisco's Union Square (333 Post St., San Francisco, CA 94102)
When: Through Jan. 19

What: For less than $30 per person, enjoy a winter wonderland ice skating session at Union Square.
Three-Day Winter Festival
Where: United Irish Cultural Center (2700 45th Ave., San Francisco, CA 94116)
When: Friday, Jan. 16 through Sunday, Jan. 18
What: The United Irish Cultural Center is having a three-day winter festival, kicking off with pubshow featuring the band CaliCeltic. More performances will follow on Saturday, along with a memorial and an Irish film night.
Fairy Lights in a Flower Jar
Where: Sunset Commons (1600 Irving St., San Francisco, CA 94122)
When: Thursday, Jan. 15
What: A creative workshop where you'll create a lantern-style keepsake using pressed flowers and a strand of soft fairy lights.
Winter Sound Garden
Where: W Hotel (181 3rd St., San Francisco, CA 94103)
When: Sunday, Jan. 25
What: A healing activity that immerses sound baths, art insallations and community ritual. Organizers at the Sound Healing Project describe it as a "unique sensory experience" that'll reflect the "natural bounty and stillness of Winter."
Winter Fruit Tree Pruning
Where: Alemany Farm (700 Alemany Blvd., San Francisco, CA 94112)
When: Sunday, Jan. 25
What: An in-person workshop that teaches basics about when, why and how to winter prune apples and plum trees. The class also focuses on tree biology and how to grow a healthy and productive tree.
Free Children's Soccer Demo
Where: Lycee Francais Ashbury Campus (26 Downey St., San Francisco)
When: Saturday, Jan. 31
What: A free soccer program that uses "creative storytelling and imaginative games" to teach the sport.
"What sets this program apart is the coaching," organizers said online. "The staff is specially trained to work with early childhood age groups—they know how to keep a 2-year-old engaged and a 10-year-old challenged, all while keeping it fun."
Winter Bliss Music Event
Where: Aracely Cafe (401 13th St., #312, San Francisco, CA 94130)
When: Saturday, Feb. 21
What: A day full of music, dancing and community featuring Detroit artist WAAJEED, along with DJs Homero Espinosa, Heather Besos and Mario Dubbz.
"Expect sunshine and a crowd ready to move," organizers said online. "Come ready for good music, good people, and a day that always hits."
The Big Game
Where: Santa Clara and the Bay Area
When: Monday, Feb. 2 to Sunday. Feb. 8
What: Super Bowl 60 takes place at Levi's Stadium in February, but there will be several related activities taking place in the days before, from a festival in San Francisco to Sting performing at the Palace of Fine Arts.
