Central Marin Readies For Weekend Freeway Closure

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Expect traffic delays in Marin this weekend as Caltrans crews work on an ongoing freeway project.

The right two lanes of the northbound Highway 101 Central San Rafael offramp will be closed from Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Detours will be in place.

This work is a part of several ongoing Highway 101 projects in Marin.

Advisories will be issued for each phase of work, and updates can be found at the Caltrans project website and City of San Rafael project website.

“Motorists are advised to drive with caution and follow all posted directional signs,” city officials said in a statement.

“Residents and businesses may temporarily experience increased noise levels during this operation.”
