Fairfax Looks To Extend Sir Francis Drake Emergency Declaration
The town authorized the emergency procurement of materials and Labor without Competitive Bidding.
FAIRFAX, CA — Fairfax’s Town Council later this week will consider a resolution to extend the emergency declaration at the site of a failed retaining wall.
The extension of the declaration in the area of 2378 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., where last month a winter storm felled a retinting wall that left a 15-foot void.
The council at its Dec. 15 meeting backed a resolution declaring a local emergency at or near 2378 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, authorizing the emergency procurement of materials and labor without competitive bidding.
