FAIRFAX, CA — The town of Fairfax is offering up cash to help to residents who clear their brush and trim trees.
The town is offering grants of up to $1,000 for seniors and low-income residents, and up to $500 to all regardless of age or income.

It is available to Fairfax residents who own or rent property.
The self-certifying program requires applicants seeking reimbursement for the work to submit photos and receipts of the work done.

Grants are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be distributed until the town exhausts the $25,000 allocated to the program.
