Fairfax Police: Baby Goats Crying, Car Over Hillside, Burglars Arrested

Thursday, July 14
Suspicious Circumstances: Occurred on Sequoia Road at 11:50 a.m.
Animal: Two baby goats were on a back deck crying and sounded like they were in distress on Hillside Drive at 6:06 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Main Court for 20 minutes.
Traffic Complaint: A large 18-wheeler was reversing down Cascade Drive.

Noise: There was a subject making a lot of noise in an encampment behind a resident’s house on Taylor Drive at 9:50 p.m.
Noise: There was loud music from Peri’s at 10:38 p.m.
Noise: A loud group of subjects was making a lot of noise near Fairfax Inn at 11:03 p.m.
Wednesday, July 13
Suspicious Circumstances: A resident heard strange noises outside on Dominga Avenue at 12:47 a.m.
Citizen Assist: A resident requested assistance in getting home at 12:23 a.m., but declined the options that were available to her. She ended up taking a cab.
Town Code Violation: Roofers were working at a location on Frustuck Avenue before 8 a.m.
Assist Outside Agency: There was an accident on White’s Hill at 3:19 p.m.; possibly a car over the side.
Theft: A resident came in to report a theft at Robinhood Manor Apartments.
Town Code Violation: Anonymous complaint of a woman walking her dog off-leash at Manzanita Road and Wreden Avenue at 5:30 p.m.
Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity on Broadway Avenue at 10:58 p.m.
Tuesday, July 12
Barking Dog: San Anselmo Police Department received a complaint of a barking dog on Hill Avenue at 5:12 a.m., but it appeared to be in Fairfax jurisdiction.
Citizen Assist: A resident came in to talk about the recent residential burglaries.
Wire Down: A large crane truck came up Canyon Road and pulled down a utility wire at 10:34 a.m.
Wire Down: A truck hit power lines near the new Good Earth building at 12:42 p.m. It was a cable line.
Disturbance: A resident came into the police department to report that he was just in a dispute with his son about a vehicle.
Disturbance: There was a possible physical altercation on Pine Drive at 2:01 p.m. Officers contacted the subjects and determined it was verbal only. Unrelated to disturbance call, one of the subjects was then arrested for stealing a car the month before.
Fire: There was a vehicle fire on Scenic Road.
Theft: A woman stole a cup from Yeah Baby then left after being confronted.
Warrant Criminal: There was a verbal argument between a father and son over a car on Bolinas Road. The son had an outstanding warrant from Marin County jail and was arrested.
Town Code Violation: There were a number of subjects in Peri Park after dark.
Traffic Complaint: There was a reckless driver who aggressively sped off Center Boulevard at 10 p.m.
Monday, July 11
Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Pavilion at 3:23 a.m.
Town Code Violation: A construction crew started work on Vanni Lane at 7:40 a.m.
Barking Dog: A dog was barking excessively most of the morning on Ridgeway Avenue at 9:26 a.m.
Theft: A sign was stolen from in front of a resident’s house on Laurel Drive.
Burglary: A resident reported a subject possibly breaking into her house on Bolinas Road at 3:27 p.m. Officers responded and arrested two subjects for attempted burglary.
Disturbance: A resident reported what sounded like a domestic dispute on Pine Drive at 7:02 p.m., though there appeared to be more than two people yelling.Â
