Fairfax Readies For Bartender Competition

FAIRFAX, CA — A popular Marin cocktail lounge will hold a competitive bartending event next month.

Mac's at 19 Broadway will host the Bartender Battle Royal! July 21 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The competition will feature bartenders from some of the top cocktail bars in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties. It will also feature bartenders from local distilleries such as Young and Yonder, Napa Distillery, Alamere Distillery, among others.

Novato-based King Floyd’s Bar Provisions is credited with developing the idea to highlight some of the North Bay’s best bartenders.

“From that idea,” Macs at 19 Broadway wrote on its Facebook page, “Bartender Battle Royal was born.”

“Guests will experience a special cocktail menu at Mac’s featuring spirits from distilleries around the bay and will witness some of the top bartenders in the area making unique cocktail creations. There will be cash prizes for the top three bartenders, and one of them will go home with the with the Gold!”
