Fairfax Readies For Downtown Street Closures
Most downtown streets will be closed for a parade that's part of the town's annual weekend festival.
FAIRFAX, CA — Expect traffic delays in Fairfax this weekend, and Saturday morning in particular.
Most downtown streets will be closed Saturday from around 9:15 a.m. to between 12:30 and 1 p.m. for a parade ahead of the town’s annual festival, the Fairfax Police Department said.
The 2022 Fairfax Festival Parade and Outdoor Festivities will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days at Bolinas Park.

The festival is being held for the first time in three years. It was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 amid the pandemic.
Detour signs will be posted in key locations, police said.
