Fairfax Wildfire Prevention Grant Program Doles Out $25K

FAIRFAX, CA — A Fairfax fire prevention program that aims to aid elderly and economically disadvantaged residents has doled out $25,000, town officials said Monday in a news release.

The Vegetation Management Grant Program awarded 20 $1,000 grants and an additional 10 worth $500.

Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority plans to offer a similar program, according to the agency's website.
