Fatal Marin Shooting Probed
Police are asking for the public's help in the investigation of what they're calling a "senseless attack."
SAN RAFAEL, CA — A man was fatally shot in San Rafael late Saturday night, police said.
No arrests have yet been made and the victim’s identity has been withheld due to “pending notification of his next of kin and also due to the ongoing nature of this investigation,” the San Rafael Police Department said in a statement.
Officers just before midnight Saturday responded to of a report of a male who had collapsed near the intersection of Medway Road and Mill Street, police said.

The San Rafael Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died due to his injuries, police said.
“SRPD Detectives are currently working on locating evidence, witnesses, and trying to understand a motive for this senseless attack,” police said.
