Injured Hiker Rescued From Marin County Trail

Search and rescue teams worked with firefighters Saturday to reach a hiker with an ankle injury on the Cataract trail.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Multiple agencies worked together Saturday to reach an injured hiker near Mount Tamalpais and carry them to safety. Members of Marin Search and Rescue worked with crews from Marin County Fire, Ross Valley Fire and the Marin Municipal Water District after a 911 caller reported an ankle injury on the Cataract Falls Trail.

Search and rescue teams responded to help with a litter carryout, and the patient received treatment from medics onsite before being carried to a waiting ambulance.
