MARIN COUNTY, CA — Crews have gained the upper hand over a vegetation blaze that has shuttered a major roadway, the Marin County Fire Department said.

The Whites Hill fire was first reported at around 2:40 p.m.

No injuries were reported and no evacuations were issued.
