Marin Blaze Triggers Evacuation Orders (Updated)
A wildfire in the area of Deer Park Road and Highland Avenue has triggered evacuations, authorities said.
Updated at 8:02 a.m.: Evacuations have been lifted, the San Rafael Fire Department tweeted at 11:22 p.m. Monday.

Correction: The fire was in the area of Deer Park Road, not Deer Valley Road, which San Rafael Fire first reported.
Updated at 11:18 p.m.: Firefighters stopped forwards progress of the blaze as it advanced toward Dominican University, the San Rafael Fire Department tweeted. The evacuation warnings for surrounding areas were lifted but mandatory order remained in effect as of 11:15 p.m.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A San Rafael wildfire has triggered evacuation orders for residents in the area of Deer Park Road and Highland Avenue, authorities said.
Police conducted door-to-door evacuations at some area homes and issued warnings to others, the city’s Office of Emergency Services tweeted at 10:34 p.m.

“Others in the area are under an evacuation warning,” the agency said.
