Marin Burglary Suspect Accused Of Posing As Cable Installer
A witness reported seeing the suspect trying to enter their home on their Ring camera, authorities said.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — A burglary suspect accused of posing as a cable TV installer in San Rafael was arrested Monday after leading authorities on a pursuit, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said.
Tyler Christopher Ramirez, 30 San Francisco, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft and evading law enforcement and was booked into Marin County Jail, the Sheriff’s Office said.
A witness at around 1 p.m. Monday reported seeing a person dressed in a Comcast uniform attempting to enter the front door of their Bret Harte community home on their Ring camera, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The witness had not scheduled a visit from the cable provider and reported the suspicious activity remotely, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Responding deputies found the involved residence’s garage door propped open with a ladder and saw the suspect enter a Comcast vehicle and drive away, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A pursuit ended shortly afterward in a foot pursuit in Richmond when the suspect fled the vehicle after it got lodged in thick brush.
Deputies and a California Highway Patrol unit located the driver with the assistance of CHP Helicopter H30, the Sheriff's Office said.
