MARIN COUNTY, CA -- Three people were taken to the hospital Saturday after a Marin County Fire Department ambulance crashed with another car. The incident happened around 9:47 a.m. on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at Broadmoor Avenue, near Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, officials said.
The ambulance was called to the area about 25 minutes earlier after a bicyclist and car crashed in the vicinity. Paramedics were transporting the injured bicyclist to Marin General Hospital when the second collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard occurred, officials said.
An ambulance was dispatched for the cyclist injured in the Whites Hill incident, and two additional ambulances were dispatched for an injured MCFD paramedic and the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash. The MCFD paramedic has since been released from medical care.
