Parking Rage, BB Gun Violence and Thefts of Every Stripe
This week's roundup of Central Marin Police Authority activities in San Anselmo features auto burglaries on Redwood Rd. and reports of BB and/or air gun use in town.

–A resident of the 40 block of Tamalpais Ave. reported he had been involved in a parking dispute with a neighbor and had been assaulted by the neighbor. An Assault/Battery report was taken.
–A resident of the 300 block of Redwood Road reported his unlocked vehicle had been entered and items were taken. He advised that he had checked the area and located a bag at the bottom of the hill. The bag contained the items taken from his vehicle with the exception of an iPhone, which was still missing. He also found an additional bag that did not belong to him, which contained what appears to be other possible stolen items. A Petty Theft report was taken and there is follow-up pending.Â
–A resident of the 400 block of Redwood Road reported she found a shopping bag full of property that appeared to have come from a vehicle theft. The property was determined to belong to nearby resident, also in the 400 block of Redwood Road. Upon contacting the neighbor, it was discovered that her vehicle was stolen. An Auto Theft report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

–A San Anselmo resident reported that his bicycle, valued at approximately $1200, which was chained in a lot in the 500 block of San Anselmo Ave., was stolen. Documentation was provided for the theft.Â
–A resident of the 30 block of Sequoia Drive reported a male roommate threatened him with a gun the previous night. He also contacted the San Rafael Police Department stating that the roommate had stolen his sister-in-law's vehicle. SRPD was canceled since CMPA officers were already contacting the reporting party. It was determined that the involved subject shot at him with a BB gun during an argument the previous night. This afternoon, the subject had made suicidal statements and then left with his sister-in-law's vehicle, taking it without permission. An Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Threats report was taken. An additional Auto Theft report was taken for the stolen vehicle and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. The involved subject was located in the area of the residence later that same date. A San Anselmo man was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Criminal Threats. He was booked at the Marin County Jail. The vehicle was located back at the residence and was removed from the Stolen Vehicle System.Â

–A resident of the 20 block of Camino de Hererra reported his girlfriend had hit him. He advised that he had gone outside to distance himself from her. The girlfriend also called, advising her boyfriend had beaten her, and that she had sustained injuries. Pursuant to an investigation, it was determined the male subject was the primary aggressor. The woman declined medical treatment. A San Anselmo man was arrested for Domestic Battery and was booked at the Marin County Jail.Â
–A resident of the 100 block of Sycamore Ave. reported her unlocked vehicle was gone through during the night while it was parked at the residence. She advised keys, documents and a credit card were taken. The credit card has already been used. Documentation was provided for the theft.
–A San Anselmo resident reported that while he was at Sir Francis Drake High School, his Apple iPhone 4, black, with green case, was taken. Documentation was provided for the theft and the phone was entered into the Automated Property System.Â
–A San Anselmo resident reported she and some friends were walking in the area of Butterfield Road and Sir Francis Drake Blvd. when a vehicle drove past them and a subject from inside the vehicle fired an air gun at them. The projectiles struck her friend in the arm and head. The subject declined medical attention. The vehicle was last seen going down Butterfield Rd. and was playing loud music. Officers checked the area for the subjects and vehicle with negative results. An Assault with a Deadly Weapon report was taken. A possible matching vehicle was later located by the Fairfax Police Department. There is further investigation pending.
–A resident of the 160 block of Butterfield Road reported the back window of their vehicle had been shot out by a BB while it was parked in their driveway. A Vandalism report was taken.
–A caller reported a possibly intoxicated male subject, who was yelling at customers, in the 800 block of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Officers located the subject and determined he was intoxicated. A San Rafael man was arrested for Public Intoxication and booked at the Marin County Jail.
–An employee of a business in the 800 block of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. reported someone took her purse out of her unlocked locker. The contents included a jacket, keys, credit cards, her identification, a phone charger and a change purse. The total loss is approximately $320. There is possible suspect information. A Petty Theft report was taken.Â
