Police: Burglaries, Drug Paraphernalia Found

The following was reported by the Fairfax Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

The following is a selection of calls made to the from March 5 to 11. The full report can be found on the department's website.

Monday, March 5

Welfare Check: A man was standing in front of the ATM at Bank of America for a long time, staring at the machine, at 7:03 a.m.

Lost: A resident lost her glasses in the park.

Trespassing: A house is for sale on Pacheco Avenue, but people went into the property through the back gate. Neither appears to be a realtor. Officers determined it was local residents considering purchasing the property.

Vandalism: A car radio antenna was broken on a car on Pine Drive the night before.

Disturbance: A resident was complaining of a problem with her husband at the Creekside Apartments at 1:33 p.m., but the call was lost.

Unwanted Subject: A resident’s mother was bringing the resident’s brother to his place, but he didn’t want him there due to threats.

Tuesday, March 6

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Women’s Club at 2:37 a.m.

Fraud: An unknown person opened a credit card in a resident’s name.

Noise: The noise at Top Hat was as bad as previously reported at 9:28 a.m.

Unwanted Subject: A resident complained of people setting up a table on the public sidewalk by the post office for political purposes.

Noise: There was loud music and lots of yelling on Pine Drive at 2:17 p.m. and garbage was being thrown all over.

Unwanted Subject: A man was standing in front of a residence on Pine Drive at 3:47 p.m. The resident said an officer told him to call if the man was there.

Driving on a Suspended License: An officer observed a subject driving, whose license is suspended, at Center Boulevard and San Anselmo Avenue at 5:11 p.m.

Lost/Stolen: A resident lost her backpack in downtown.

Assault: A resident wanted to report that he was assaulted on Dec. 15.

Warrant Criminal: An officer initiated activity at the park at 8:07 p.m. and an arrest was made.

Wednesday, March 7

Sleeper: A subject was possibly sleeping in their van on Tamalpais Road at 12:02 a.m.

Welfare Check: A resident wanted a check on his adult daughter on Tamalpais Road at 7:23 a.m.

Town Code Violation: A man and woman with two small dogs were playing frisbee on Contratti Field at 8:39 a.m.

Traffic Complaint: Flaggers at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Pacheco Avenue weren’t paying attention and eastbound traffic was backing up at 9:53 a.m. A resident stopped to speak with a flagperson, who responded with profanity.

Civil Problem: There was a dispute over laptop ownership at Creekside Apartments.

Civil Problem: A court order states neither parent can smoke around a resident’s daughter, but when her daughter’s father picked her up he was smoking.

Barking Dog: Several dogs have been barking on an on-off basis on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard for a few hours.

Insanity: Two men were fighting in the backyard of a residence on Willow Avenue at 3:56 p.m. and someone was yelling for 9-1-1.

Theft: A resident’s wallet was stolen at the Fairfax Market.

Disturbance: Neighbors were arguing on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:49 p.m.

Welfare Check: A subject was yelling at Oak Tree Apartments and sounded intoxicated at 9:49 p.m.

Burglary: A resident noticed her laptop and computer monitor were missing from her apartment at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments.

Thursday, March 8

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Fairfax Coin Car Wash at 1:32 a.m.

Noise: Loud music was coming from two apartments located on Mono Aveneu at 3:19 a.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for two hours on Ridge Road.

Disturbance: A resident was involved in a verbal dispute with her mailperson on Wessen Lane at 10:03 a.m.

Insanity: Occurred on Spruce Road at 10:48 a.m. and a report was taken.

Unwanted Subject: A tenant was yelling and screaming at a resident on Valley Road at 12:39 p.m.

Theft: A resident interrupted a subject attempting to steal an employee’s bike at Good Earth at 5:01 p.m. Officers located and arrested the suspect.

Suspicious Person: A subject was walking down Sir Francis Drake Boulevard yelling obscenities and people and telling them they’re not Americans at 7:07 p.m.

Theft: A resident flagged down an officer to report a bike theft at 8:47 p.m.

Disturbance: An officer initiated activity with two subjects in a verbal argument on Center Boulevard at 10:49 p.m.

Friday, March 9

Driving Under the Influence: At a traffic stop at Pastori Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Bouleavrd at 1:23 a.m., an officer determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was cited and released to a sober adult and the car was towed.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for some time on Cascade Drive at 2:14 a.m.

Barking Dg: There is an ongoing problem with a barking dog on Ridge Road at 8:41 a.m.

Harassing Phone Calls: A resident has been receiving harassing phone calls.

Unwanted Subject: A subject who has previously been ejected from Peri’s continues to walk in and out and taunt employees.

Animal: There was an injured deer on the side of the road at Willow Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:36 p.m.

Saturday, March 10

Noise: A woman was sitting in her car with the stereo turned up very loud on Tamalpais Road at 3:22 a.m.

Accident – No Injury: There was a secondhand report of someone hitting an apartment building on Center Boulevard the night before and leaving the area.

Animal: There was a dead deer and dead raccoon on the side of the road.

Noise: The PA system at the little league game was too loud at 10:44 a.m.

With Subjects: There was a walk-in report of subjects yelling and scaring the fish in front of the police department.

Theft: Several items from a residence on Pine Drive were stolen over the last few months.

Animal: There was an injured squirrel in the park.

Public Intoxication: There was an intoxicated subject attempting to get into a car at the ballfield and drive.

Sunday, March 11

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident came in to the lobby and wanted to speak with an officer about a suspicious subject at 10:05 a.m.

Found: A resident turned in drug paraphernalia he found in the park.

Burglary: There was a theft from a car on Center Boulevard at between 8 and 8:30 p.m. while the resident was at dinner.
