FAIRFAX, CA — A proposed dispensary has stirred controversy in this tiny North Bay town, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

Element 7 has submitted an application to operate a dispensary and delivery service at 930 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., according to the report.

The proposed dispensary would be called “Fairfax Remedy,” the report said.

Opponents of the proposal have expressed concern that the dispensary would displace Mana Bowls, a family-owned acai bowl restaurant, the report said.

They’ve circulated a petition opposing the proposed cannabis shop that has collected more than 570 signatures, according to the report.
