San Anselmo To Hold Equity Audit: Report

The audit will cost the town $69,000, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

SAN ANSELMO, CA — San Anselmo last week approved plans to conduct an audit to determine whether the town’s policies match its rhetoric in support of racial equity, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

The Town Council backed audit, which will cost $69,000, the report said.

“The committee has been tasked with taking one of the oldest, deepest and most pervasive injustices of this nation and figuring out what our abilities and responsibilities are locally, in San Anselmo, in addressing these,” Mayor Alexis Fineman said, according to the report.
