San Anselmo Police: Shopper Throws Rock at Business, Juveniles on Roof, Road Rage

Sunday, Feb. 13Â
Vandalism: A resident’s ex-boyfriend broke her window on Saunders Avenue at 5:05 a.m. An officer contacted her and the suspect regarding the incident.
Disturbing the Peace: A female shopper became upset at a business on San Anselmo Avenue and threw a rock at the window at 11:49 a.m., but it didn’t break. She was counseled and abated.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident’s car was hit by a paint ball on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:50 p.m.
Juveniles: Four male juveniles were seen playing on a roof on Ross Avenue at 3:58 pm. Officer contacted a responsible party for each child and they were picked up by parents.

Grand Theft: A resident reported a theft of an exhaust hose on Butterfield Road at 4 p.m. The resident later found out one of his co-workers had misplaced it.
Suspicious Circumstances: Two juveniles stashed their backpacks behind trash cans in the area of the tennis courts at Memorial Park at 5:09 p.m., then climbed onto the roof.
Driving Under the Influence: A resident followed a subject from Fairfax on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:10 p.m. and observed the driver weaving and driving slowly. The driver went into a business and the officer contacted them. There was no merit to a DUI, she was just tired from a day of moving.
Juvenile: Two juveniles were walking down Yolanda Drive, yelling and swearing at 7:12 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 12
Driving on a Suspended License: At a traffic stop at Fourth Street and Greenfield Avenue at 8:58 a.m., a woman was determined to be driving on a suspended license. She was cited and released.
Suspicious Person: A homeless-looking subject was sitting in the middle of the road at Sequoia Drive and Ancho Vista Avenue at 10:09 a.m.
Hit and Run: A car rear-ended another car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and left the area at 11:15 a.m.
Road Rage: An officer was flagged down regarding a road rage incident that occurred on northbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard before entering San Anselmo at 12:10 p.m.
Driving without a License: At a traffic stop on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:27 p.m., a man was determined to be driving without a valid license. He was cited and released.
Barking Dog: A dog was barking in the lower part of Robson-Harrington Park at 3:55 p.m. Officers found three dogs as permitted, but none were barking.
Suspicious Circumstances: A man came to a resident’s door on Cedar Street at 7:45 p.m., but the resident didn’t know him or anyone by his name.
Animal Call: A neighbor’s dog was tied to a tree on Ridge Road for over three hours. The resident was concerned the dog doesn’t have any water and keeps tugging on the rope. Humane Society was notified.
Municipal Code Violation: Two subjects fired of a firecracker in the parking lot on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:31 p.m. and left on skateboards.
Friday, Feb. 11
Injury Collision: A resident reported a solo-vehicle collision at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Saunders Avenue at 7:54 a.m. The driver was transported to Marin General and the car was towed from the scene.
Vandalism: There was a report of vandalism on Greenfield Avenue at 8:46 a.m.
Accident – Minor Injury: There was a minor injury collision at San Anselmo and Tamalpais Avenues at 4:01 p.m.
Suspicious Circumstances: There was a suspicious subject on Woodside Drive at 5:34 p.m.
