The Ross Valley School District has its final day of classes next week, but before the year ends, they wanted to celebrate all the district had achieved for 2010-11. It's been a big year for the Ross Valley schools. A letter went out to all parents (attached at right) highlighting some of those achievements.

- RVSD was the first school district to participate in the Human Race -- raising $10,000.
- Nine teachers and staff visited other state of the art schools to learn about 21st century learning environments.
- The district was selected as an earlier adopter for the California Education and the Environment Initiative.
- Cool the Earth teams won first place in Whole Foods recycling contest - earning a 5 cent bag rebate for three months.
- completed the Communitree project, dedicated to Sammy Dean.
