Would-Be Burglar Interrupted

Resident woke to find man at foot of his bed.

A San Anselmo resident awoke on Morton Lane at 2:20 a.m. this morning to find a man in his bedroom at the foot of his bed, said San Anselmo police.

The resident said he recognized Cheyene Hirsh-Perrot, 20, of Fairfax, from high school and police officers later located and arrested Hirsh-Perrot for burglary and battery.

According to San Anselmo Cpl. Julie Gorwood, after the resident awoke to see Hirsh-Perrot in his bedroom in the midst of a burglary, he attempted to grab the suspect. Hirsh-Perrot shoved the man against the wall and fled, said Gorwood.
