15 Stores at Mall Spend Day in the Dark After Power Outage
The power outage happened early Wednesday, but only part of The Shops at Tanforan was affected.
More than a dozen stores at went dark Wednesday after a generator at the mall lost power, mall management said.
The power outage happened early in the morning when a generator in the south wing of the mall failed, said Nicolle Blanco, the marketing director of Forest City, the property management company that runs the mall.
Power was restored at about 10 p.m., and no incidents were reported at the mall during the outage, Blanco said.

"The rest of the mall was fully operational," she said. "The cause of the power failure is still under investigation."
