Looking for Sandbags This Week?

With the National Weather Service forecasting heavy rains and high winds for San Bruno throughout the rest of the week, some residents might be wondering: Where can I go to get sandbags?

For those residents who want to shore up against the threat of flooding before stormy weather hits, there are two places you can go in the city to get free sandbags.

You can pick up the free sandbags at two locations: the city's  on Huntington Avenue and  on El Camino Real.

The bags will be available at the corporation yard from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and at the fire station 24 hours a day. There is supposedly a limit of 15 sandbags per day and residents will have to use a signup sheet at the corporation yard, according to the city.
