Man Accused Of Rummaging Through Several Vehicles In San Bruno
Police allege he committed the same types of crimes on two separate occasions in town.

SAN BRUNO, CA — A 21-year-old Hayward man was arrested Wednesday in San Bruno after police identified him as an auto-burglary suspect, San Bruno police said.
At about 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, San Bruno officers responded to reports of a suspicious person in the 700 block of Pepper Drive. As they investigated the area, they made contact with Eliot Rodriguez who was a passenger in a ridesharing car.
They quickly identified him as the suspect who had entered several unlocked vehicles in the area, rummaged through the contents and stolen tools from at least one vehicle, police said.

A follow-up investigation determined Rodriguez was allegedly responsible for similar crimes in San Bruno on Oct. 5, police said.
He was booked into the San Mateo County Main Jail on charges related to grand theft, police said.Anyone with information on this or related crimes is asked to contact San Bruno police at (650) 616-7100.
