Parkside Welcomes Narita Delegation for 22nd Year
The delegation will be in San Bruno all week learning about American culture and participating in activities organized by Parkside Intermediate.
The student exchange program between San Bruno and Narita, Japan has been going on for years.
This week, a group of students from nine different middle schools in Narita arrived in San Bruno as part of the program. The city and Narita have had a sister city relationship since 1990.
, which is this year's host to the Narita delegation, welcomed the group and their families to the city on Monday with a catered dinner and formal social gathering. Each Parkside student, teacher and city official introduced themselves in Japanese while the students and Narita officials did the same in English.
