Principal Matters:Β The month ofΒ April marks the end to college acceptances and manyΒ of our seniors got acceptedΒ into esteemed universitiesΒ and colleges and we want toΒ say congratulations! It isΒ also during this time thatΒ some of our seniors realizeΒ that they did not get intoΒ their top choices, but I thinkΒ it should be noted that theirΒ college preparatory experiences at Capuchino will payΒ off in the long run. SuccessΒ in life has more to do withΒ the ability to persevere thanΒ the name of your college, soΒ it is my hope that our seniors take the good and badΒ news all in stride and pursue their dreams....

Finally, with six weeks ofΒ school to go, you will noticeΒ several activities on the horizon. School activities include: Lockdown SafetyΒ Drill, Visit to St. Roberts toΒ showcase our school, Latinos Unidos Dance, SpringΒ Concert and Dance Show. We hope to see you in theΒ near future and we thankΒ you for helping to bring thisΒ year to a smooth end. AndΒ as always, if you have questions and/or are in need ofΒ support, the administration,Β counseling staff and teachers are available and can beΒ contacted directly over theΒ phone or emailed throughΒ Schoolloop. β€”Shamar Shanks, principal

Arts Satellite Now Open:Β The time hasΒ finally come andΒ we are happy toΒ announce thatΒ the Arts SatelliteΒ is officially open! We also wantΒ to take this time to recognize theΒ efforts of our very own MariaΒ Sky, who is responsible for writing a grant back in 2007 and seeing this building come to fruition. The Arts Satellite will be home to our Ceramics program, led by Susan Truman, and home to our Arts andΒ Multi-Media program, led byΒ Ms. Sky. Again, we couldn’t beΒ more excited to have this newΒ facility for our students andΒ school community.
