By a wide margin, readers picked  as the best sushi restaurant in San Bruno in this week's readers' choice poll.

Aji Ichi, which is known for its Japanese food with a Hawaiian influence, got 25 votes in the .

The family-run business is owned by husband and wife team Francis and Jae Sherod.

Francis Sherod makes the sushi and oversees the kitchen, while Jae greets all the customers and waits on tables.

Next week, San Bruno Patch will be looking for the best spa in the city. The voting for that contest begins at 9 a.m. on Monday.
