Website Launched to Keep Track of Crestmoor Reconstruction
Residents can use the site to stay informed about the progress of the rebuilding projects in the Crestmoor neighborhood, which was devastated by the 2010 PG&E pipeline explosion.

The city has created a one-stop shop for keeping up with the rebuilding of the Crestmoor neighborhood with a newly launched website.
The website, www.rebuildcrestmoor.org, was created to keep residents informed about the progress of the rebuilding of the neighborhood, which was devastated by the September 2010 pipeline explosion.Β PG&E funded the development of the site.
On the site, residents can find background information about the planned improvements, find out about the status of projectsβincluding which homes have been rebuiltβand stay connected to any construction updates.

In December, theΒ Β in reconstruction projects that will includeΒ replacing all streets, sewers, water mains, curbs, gutters and sidewalks within the fire-damaged area.Β The city also wants to replace damaged storm drains, retrofit streetlights with new LED lights and replant the Glenview and Earl Park with native species. Incentives will also be given to homeowners who rebuild their homes with green improvements.
The council already has approved two contracts related toΒ Β to begin the restoration of the water system and infrastructure that was severely damaged in the explosion.
