Arson Suspected In San Carlos Fire, Man Arrested
Lobiss Parks, 66, was arrested on three felony charges according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

SAN CARLOS, CA — The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Sunday for a suspected arson on Portofino Drive in San Carlos.
The sheriff's office got a report of a structure fire on August 22 around 6 p.m. The fire was no longer burning when deputies arrived, and there was evidence of "fresh fire damage" in several locations at an apartment carport.
Lobiss Parks, 66, was arrested on the following felony charges: arson of an inhabited structure, possession of arson material, and arson of property. The sheriff's office says surveillance footage identified him as a suspect. Parks had allegedly fled the scene before deputies arrived and was arrested within several hours of the arson report.

The Redwood City Fire Department and the Deputy Fire Marshall conducted an arson investigation, the sheriff's office said.
