Peninsula Burglary Suspect Caught After 3 Months: Police
Investigators allege the man targeted apartment buildings in San Carlos, Redwood City and San Mateo over several months.

SAN CARLOS, CA — A man linked to a spate of burglaries targeting Peninsula homes in recent months has been arrested and faces multiple criminal charges, authorities said Tuesday.
According to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began in December after multiple residential burglaries were reported in San Carlos. In each case, detectives said the suspect would enter lobbies or mail rooms at apartment complexes, stealing packages and other items.
While investigating the San Carlos cases, detectives said they discovered similar cases reported in Redwood City and San Mateo. The sheriff's office worked with both cities' police departments and developed a suspect. He was identified Tuesday as Robert Larocca, 54, of Redwood City.
