Reminder: Parking Study Meeting This Thursday

Voice your concerns, opinions, suggestions about parking in downtown San Carlos at this important community meeting.

Learn about the city’s plans for downtown parking at a meeting Thursday night at the San Carlos Library.

The San Carlos Community Development Department has been working with a consultant on a comprehensive inventory of all downtown parking, both public and private.

The assessment will show how much parking is occupied on certain days and times, and the duration of parked cars in key locations throughout the downtown.  It will also use the parking usage data from the City's Smart Parking pilot program on the first three blocks of Laurel Street.

Thursday’s meeting is an opportunity for the public to ask questions and provide feedback before the parking study is completed. City staff would like to share this information with the downtown merchants and adjacent residents and obtain comments from the public to include in the study prior to presenting it to the six-member Parking Advisory Committee and the City Council.
