Woman Accused In $300K Embezzlement Scheme At San Carlos Tech Firm
Detectives allege the woman stole hundreds of thousands from her employer, kicking off an investigation last summer.

SAN CARLOS, CA — A former employee is accused of embezzling nearly $300,000 from a tech company based in San Carlos, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Officials announced an arrest in the case Monday, following a monthlong investigation.
Investigators identified the suspect as Tina Cabudoy, 50, of Santa Rosa. The sheriff's office said the unnamed company contacted them in June to report an employee who had siphoned a large amount of money.
After a lengthy investigation, Peninsula authorities worked with the Santa Rosa Police Department to execute an arrest warrant on March 20. Cabudoy was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of embezzlement.
