Early Wednesday morning, deputies responded to back-to-back calls for two commercial burglaries in San Clemente, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported. Both businesses had been hit by burglars and suffered losses.

While conducting a traffic stop, a suspicious vehicle refused to stop and instead took off, leading deputies on a pursuit that spanned several South Orange County cities. Hylton said that deputies chose to call off the pursuit because it was growing too dangerous.
