San Clemente Students Eligible For San Onofre Parks Scholarships

Eco-conscious SCHS seniors are eligible for a $1000 scholarship from the San Onofre Parks Foundation.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — The San Onofre Parks Foundation is offering up to four $1000 scholarships to environmentally conscious seniors graduating from San Clemente High School, the foundation announced Friday.

The awards will be granted to SCHS seniors attending either a two or four-year accredited college in the fall of 2022 who have a “demonstrated interest in environmental stewardship of our State Parks, their natural and cultural resources, and the mission of the San Onofre Parks Foundation.” Awardees will be honored at the SCHS Senior Awards on May 19.

Applications are due before midnight on Sunday, April 10. They require a transcript, a letter of recommendation, and a 400 to 600-word essay addressing how the applicant became interested in environmentalism, and how their education will support their future goals.
