1 Injured, SigAlert Issued On 5 Freeway After Crash In SJC
The crash was reported at 11:57 a.m. on the Interstate 5 freeway traveling north through San Juan Capistrano.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — A crash on the northbound Interstate 5 freeway traveling through San Juan Capistrano prompted authorities to issue an hourlong SigAlert after several lanes on the freeway were blocked.
The crash injured at least one person. The status of the injured person is not currently known.
The crash was reported at 11:57 a.m. on the freeway near Camino Capistrano, according to the California Highway Patrol.

As of 12:15 p.m., at least two lanes on the freeway were blocked, and traffic was stalled for at least five miles.
Authorities advised residents to steer clear of the area while the SigAlert is in place.
