Man Found Fatally Shot In San Juan Capistrano Townhouse: Report

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — A man was fatally shot in San Juan Capistrano, and an investigation was underway Tuesday, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at about 9:20 p.m. Monday in the 26000 block of Calle San Francisco, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

No arrests have been reported, according to the sheriff's department.

Deputies did not release the name of the victim as they were working to notify his relatives, sheriff's Sgt. Scott Steinle said.

The 33-year-old victim was found dead in a townhouse, but it was not clear if he lived there or not, Steinle said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
