Mission San Juan Capistrano Hosts April 22 Earth Day Celebration!
Visiting the Mission for Earth Day is the Perfect Spring Break Event!
Celebrate Earth Day at Mission San Juan Capistrano on Tuesday, April 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Take a walk their lush gardens, learn about bees and pollination with honey sampling, discover the significance of the acorn and bring the kids for craft activities. In fact, this is a celebration for all ages. Here’s the schedule of events:

BEES: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Learn about bees and pollination, observe a bee hive and enjoy honey sampling with Hapa Honey Farm
CRAFTS: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Family-friendly flower and butterfly crafts presented by The Discovery Cube.
ACORNS: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Learn about the significance of the acorn and view grinding demonstration presented by Tribal Council Members at Large Georgia “Chena” Edmundson and Frank Barraza, Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation
GARDEN TOURS: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Tour the Mission gardens led by Mission volunteer Gardening Angels with complimentary seed packets. Space is limited to first 30 guests.
HONEY SAMPLING: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Lecture on the importance of bees presented by Hapa Honey Farm. Enjoy honey sampling afterwards.
