Residents Asked To Give Blood, Help Save Lives In San Juan Capistrano
The City of San Juan Capistrano is hosting an American Cross blood drive July 14.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — In the hopes of alleviating what it said to be the worst blood shortage in more than a decade, the City of San Juan Capistrano is hosting a blood drive on Thursday July 14.
Residents interested in donating blood can sign up for an appointment at the American Red Cross website using sponsor code CityofSJC, City Manager Benjamin Siegel said in a statement.
Residents who donate blood will receive a free tote bag and automatically be entered into a free giveaway for a chance to win exclusive "Shark Week" merchandise, according to the American Red Cross's website.

The blood drive will take place Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center, 25925 Camino Del Avion.
