Traffic Delays In San Juan Capistrano Amid Sheriff Investigation

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Authorities asked San Juan Capistrano residents Monday afternoon to avoid an area in the community while the Orange County Sheriff's Department conducts an investigation, the OCSD posted on Facebook.

Sheriff deputies asked San Juan Capistrano residents to avoid the area of Camino Capistrano and Avenida Golondrina traveling northbound. The department advised that there may be delays in that area due to the ongoing investigation.

It was not immediately clear what authorities were investigating, though an OCSD spokesperson said that authorities were conducting a "traffic investigation."

Residents should steer clear of the area while sheriff deputies assess the scene.
