Alameda County Deputies Revive Jail-Bound Arrestee With Narcan
The suspect was arrested Wednesday, then lost consciousness while enroute to booking, Alameda County Sheriff's Office said.
OAKLAND, CA — A suspect, arrested following a traffic stop Wednesday morning in Oakland, was revived when deputies administered Narcan after he lost consciousness while enroute to booking, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
Two AC Transit Police Services deputies initially attempted to pull over the man as he was driving on Hegenberger Road near Enterprise Way, however, he refused to stop. His vehicle eventually stalled, and after multiple verbal commands from deputies to get out of his car, he finally complied, officials said.
The man, who was not identified, was arrested for being on probation for a stolen vehicle charge, a felony warrant for the same crime and was in alleged possession of shaved keys and a lock-picking kit, the department said.
