Police say the San Leandro man and three others stole several items, including lottery tickets, cigarettes, cigars and phone chargers.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A San Leandro man and three other people have been arrested in connection with multiple burglaries that happened in Lake and Mendocino counties early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Police say the four suspects forced their way into a grocery store in the Upper Lake area around 3:45 a.m. by smashing the front door. Ten minutes later, they burglarized a Dollar General in the city of Nice, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects had already taken off before deputies responded to either location. However, deputies found a vehicle driving eastbound on Highway 20 that matched the one used by the suspects and pulled them over, authorities said.
