Armed Suspects Arrested After Allegedly Robbing Food Maxx
Three suspects were arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly robbing a San Leandro Food Maxx.

Three suspects were arrested for allegedly robbing a San Leandro Food Maxx store early Tuesday morning.
San Leandro Police responded to the alleged armed robbers around 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday at Food Maxx located at located at 699 Lewelling Blvd.
The suspects entered the business and one of them pointed a handgun at one of the cashiers and demanded money according to police. The employees cooperated and gave the suspects the money.
When officers arrived at the scene, they noticed a vehicle leaving the parking lot with its lights off.

After stopping the occupants of the vehicle, the police identified them as the suspects in the incident. The officers recovered a weapon and the items robbed from the store inside the vehicle. Three of the vehicle's occupants were arrested for being involved in the robbery.
“There was a second adult female inside the vehicle when it was stopped. She had her three year old son in the vehicle and we are pleased that this incident was resolved peacefully,” said Lt. Randall Brandt.
