An ABC7News team visited Triple Play cages where the manager said authorities had come in Wednesday looking for Kaufman.

The TV station interviewed Castro Valley parent Tim Hamilton, who said he had been coming to the batting cages for years but had never met Kaufman.

"Hearing something like this is rather shocking and absolutely unacceptable," Hamilton told ABC7News. "I hope the charges aren't true."

Authorities urge anyone with information about Kaufman or his whereabouts to phone Orinda police Sergeant Neil Rafanan or Detective Travis Dennison at 925-254-6820.
