A Castro Valley man disappeared from his house, leaving a note for his family that said they would be better off if he weren't around, a sheriff's spokesman said.
Kyle Jordan Florencio Guinto, 20, could be anywhere in the Bay Area but is likely traveling by public transportation and has an interest in Japan Town, Alameda County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. J.D. Nelson said. He is also known to be around the Castro Valley Boulevard shopping centers.
Guinto was last seen on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. at his Castro Valley home. He left his cell phone, money and personal belongings, officials said.
He left a note for his mother that read, " I hope you have a good life".
Guinto may be suffering from depression and is extremely introverted and only speaks when spoken to.
Guinto is described as a Filipino male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 110 pounds, brown eyes, with black hair and fair skin. He was last seen wearing a plaid hooded jacket, blue jeans, brown hiking shoes and a backpack, Nelson said.
