San Leandro Lands Spot On Best Sports Bars List

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The Raiders, A's and Warriors have all moved away from Oakland, leaving East Bay fans to cheer virtually.

Eater SF pulled together an updated list of the best sports bars, a place to "pull up a stool at the bar, grab a table with friends, and go for cold drinks, good food, and a great time with your crew while watching a game."

Included on the list is longtime favorite Rickey's Sports Lounge in San Leandro.

"Once the unofficial-official home base of Oakland Raiders fans," said Eater SF, "Rickey’s still has the uncompromised energy of a Coliseum parking lot tailgate on Sundays — for all teams, but still especially for the Raiders. There are nearly 100 TV sets across a main lounge, multiple swanky VIP areas with plush couches and pool tables, and even pop-up canopies in front of the outdoor TVs."

Eater recommends the two dozen fried shrimp platter or a hot link sandwich to go with your beverage of choice.

Rickey's is located at 15028 Hesperian Boulevard in San Leandro.
