San Leandro Man Arrested After Foot Chase, Police Say
Businesses in the area were evacuated as police searched for the man, who police said was seen driving a stolen car.
LIVERMORE, CA — A San Leandro man was arrested Monday evening in Livermore after a foot chase that led to evacuations of businesses in the area of the 2400 block of Earhart Way.
A Livermore police officer spotted a stolen car and attempted to stop the driver, 52, around 4 p.m., said Sgt. Steve Goard in an email. The driver ran off and into an empty business, he said.
Officers evacuated nearby businesses and eventually found the man hiding inside the business in the 2400 block of Earhart Way, Goard said.

He was arrested and booked into Dublin's Santa Rita Jail.
