
SAN LEANDRO, CA — A person involved in a collision in San Leandro last weekend was found shot in the vehicle, police said Tuesday.
Just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a solo vehicle collision in the 1800 block of Benedict Drive. Officers located the car and found the driver suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Medical crews arrived and declared the person deceased.
According to San Leandro Police, the shooting is believed to have occurred in the same general area just before the collision.

Police said they are not releasing any more information about this case at this time, except to say that it is a criminal investigation.
