
SAN LEANDRO, CA -- San Leandro residents may see black smoke Friday evening as recruit firefighters participate in a state-mandated live fire training.
The training will take place at 5 p.m. at the Alameda County Fire Department Training Tower at 890 Lola Street.
There may be intermittent occurrences of black smoke in the San Leandro area near the intersection of Davis Street and Alvarado that may also be visible from BART and Interstate 880, officials said.
