Extremely bright lightning followed by unusually long thunder was heard by readers right after 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
Just around 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, it hit.
Bright lightning and extremely loud rolling thunder was witnessed by dozens of folks across East Bay skyline. Many couldn't get over "the big one" until the more rumbles continued throughout the night.
